Opportunities for Students
The Wirth Institute offers fellowships for graduate students from Central Europe to pursue research at the 91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø. These programs foster academic collaboration and cultural exchange across Austria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and beyond. The Wirth Institute also supports local students and performers through various academic and music awards.
- Doctoral Research Fellowships: Open to graduate students from Central Europe.
- Music Scholarship: We administer the Johann Strauss Music Foundation Award.
- Academic Awards: Interdisciplinary awards available for young scholars.
Opportunities for Faculty
Faculty from Central European universities are invited to engage in collaborative research and teaching at the Wirth Institute. Visiting faculty contribute to academic life on campus while strengthening international partnerships between Canada and Central Europe.
- Eligibility: Faculty from affiliated institutions in Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia.
- Opportunities include: Faculty exchange programs and visiting professorships.
Funding Opportunities
The Institute provides financial support for academic initiatives that align with its mission to promote Central European scholarship in Canada. Projects elligible for funding may also include cultural activities and community outreach collaborations.
- Available funding: Project support, travel grants, and research stipends.
- Application period: Proposals should be submitted at least 6 months prior to the anticipated date of the project or event.
