Life & Work with Medicine Sans Frontier (MSF)/Doctors Without Borders in Gaza
with Casey Eberl, RN
Tuesday, September 23, 12 - 12:50 pm

(Join us over Zoom or in person with Nurse Eberl in ECHA 4-036)

This presentation will focus on the experience of Nurse Casey Eberl with MSF’s patients in Gaza, the logistics of getting inside, working inside, and the challenges the organization and patients face.

Casey Eberl has been a registered nurse in Canada for 5 years, mostly in the adult and pediatric emergency departments. According to her, that’s her easy job. She’s also been a nurse with Doctors Without Borders (MSF) for the last 3 of those years in South Sudan during the ongoing civil war, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo during the ongoing civil war and sexual violence crisis, and, most recently, twice in Gaza during the latest bombardment by Israel.

When she’s not doing those things, she lives in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan with her partner. She loves to be outside with her friends and family, biking to get ice cream at her favourite local shop, travelling, and reading.
