The Light of Other Skies

The Light of Other Skies: Arthur Erickson and Francisco Kripacz
A theatrical reading of a new work by playwright Liam Monaghan
Join us for a special evening, where storytelling meets architecture. Edmonton writer, theatre artist, researcher, and educator Liam Monaghan presents a theatrical reading of his new play exploring the lives of prominent Canadian architect and his lesser-known partner in work and love, interior designer Francisco Kripacz.

This outdoor reading offers a unique opportunity for theatre lovers and architecture aficionados to engage with a jewel of Canadian architectural history, while raising awareness of Dyde House, one of Erickson’s earliest known residential buildings, nestled on the grounds of the Garden.
The event will feature an exterior tour of Dyde House followed by the reading at the Amphitheatre in the Aga Khan Garden. Please meet at the Amphitheatre in the Aga Khan Garden for the start of the tour and we will walk to Dyde House together.
